Central Coast College was founded in 1983 with 20 students, two staff members, and only one program.

Today, Central Coast College has an enrollment of 200 and employs 20 full-time and part-time staff, providing training in Computer Office Administration, Computer Specialist: Accounting, Health Information and Patient Services, Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy.
