Drexel's part-time program (the LEAD MBA) is ranked among the top 10 in the country, and it holds the highest AACSB accreditation. Taught principally by tenured and tenure-track Drexel faculty, the LEAD MBA program integrates leadership and ethics, technology management, and industry perspectives while offering the opportunity to collaborate and compete with Drexel students three time zones away — the way business works today.
MS Higher Education
As the field of higher education continues to grow, experienced and credentialed education managers will play a significant role, not just in the education industry, but also in corporate, governmental, and nonprofit institutions. Drexel's MSHE prepares seasoned higher education managers and professionals, those looking for a career change, and recent college graduates, to apply the analytical rigor and leadership training typically associated with an MBA to the unique knowledge and technical skills needed to guide complex and dynamic institutions.
MS Human Resource Development
As the business world becomes increasingly complex, the need grows for human resources professionals who are equipped, not just to manage employees, but also to aid their professional development and improve the culture of the workplace. Drexel offers one of the few MSHRD programs in the nation that emphasizes a true human resources development curriculum with experiential and online features. Our graduates are in high demand as corporations and organizations recognize professional development and retention as a key strategic advantage.
MS Library and Information Science
For those holding degrees in virtually any subject, from liberal arts to engineering, the School's MS(LIS) program provides preparation for careers in the information field. Graduates hold jobs in public and academic libraries, museums, archives, Web development companies, law firms, the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, and more. The MS(LIS), one of just 62 such programs accredited by the ALA, is ranked 9th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, with specialties in Information Systems and Digital Librarianship rated third and sixth respectively. Additionally, the college's was ranked 5th nationally in Health Librarianship.
Masters of Public Health
Public health professionals are concerned with entire populations, attempting to prevent problems from occurring or recurring through education, policy development and advocacy, service, and research. By combining systematic perspectives, integrative approaches, and community-based experiences with innovative teaching, Drexel's Executive Master of Public Health (MPH) program prepares graduates to lead the nation's public health systems. The program, which requires a master's degree or three years related professional experience for admission, is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health.
MS Information Systems
A Drexel systems degree commands respect around the world. The Sacramento program builds on the College of Information Science and Technology’s experience in online/on-campus learning.
EdD Educational Leadership and Management
The EdD is a professional practitioner’s degree that provides students with expertise in administration, finance, leadership, management, and creative and strategic thinking. Graduates go on to careers with educational organizations, businesses, foundations, and government agencies. Classes are offered on Friday evenings and Saturdays several times per quarter to accommodate working professionals.
Interdepartmental Medical Science (IMS) Certificate Program
The IMS program is an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates basic science courses and presents them through clinical system based modules. Applicants to the IMS program include students who are late in their decision to apply to medical school, students interested in improving their academic record before applying or re-applying to medical schools, or students who would like a year in a medical school setting before deciding whether medicine is the career for them. The program has been designed for college graduates who wish to enhance their academic credentials required for entry into U.S. medical school programs. However, the IMS program can also assist students interested in applying to dental, optometry, podiatry, or chiropractic schools.
