The learners from our programs have consistently provided positive feedback on their educational experiences. The education process at EMS Academy has allowed our students to exceed expected State and National Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and paramedic test averages.
EMS Academy offers initial training certification programs in EMT and paramedic sciences. We enhance our traditional classroom delivery with web access for the EMT and paramedic student. The EMT program includes web access to scenario based learning while the paramedic program includes on-line tutorials with unlimited access to web based lecture support.
The EMT course is a 90-day program that prepares the student to take the State and National certification exam. The paramedic program accepts State certified EMTs to participate in an 11-month curriculum. Upon successful course completion the student will receive certificate cards in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Providers, 12-Lead ECG and Weapons of Mass Destruction Response. Upon graduation the student will be eligible to take the State or National paramedic certification exam and continue on to provide emergency care in the field or hospital.
Our Academy is also a certified training center for the American Heart Association, Jones and Bartlett Publishing agency and the American Safety and Health Institute. Because of these partnerships, we are able to offer on-line courses designed to deliver continuing education credits towards EMT and paramedic recertification. We offer unique on-site continuing education programs for Fire Department and EMS agencies custom designed to the meet the needs of our clients.
EMT Certificate Preparation
Come join the exciting field of emergency medical services by enrolling in our first rate program. You can complete the entire program and be eligible for state or national examination within only 90 days. Our top notch instructional staff is concerned with furthering your goal of becoming an emergency responder.
Paramedic Certificate Preparation
After you have completed your training and become certified as a State of Florida EMT, you can apply to our paramedic program. Within 11 months you will complete your certification training course to allow you to sit for the state or national examination. Our top notch instructional staff is concerned with furthering your goal of becoming an emergency responder.
On-site Continuing Ed
We feature multiple programs designed to enhance the professional ability of pre-hospital personnel, nurses, respiratory therapists, physician assistants and medical doctors. We are a certified training center for the American Heart Association and American Safety and Health Institute.
