The mission of the Health Insurance Billing and Coding Program is to provide students with the medical and technical knowledge necessary to perform manual and computerized tasks expected of medical billers and coders in today's healthcare industry. Providing the training and skills that are necessary to become a Patient Care Technician, this program focuses on essential skill building that includes courses in occupational therapy, radiology and geriatric skills. Students are also given detailed instruction in other important aspects of advanced home health care such as CPR training, body system structure and function, and HIV/AIDS awareness. Graduates can find employment in a variety of settings that include hospitals, medical offices, living facilities and much more. Graduates are qualified to take the Florida Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Home Health Aide (HHA) certification exams and the National Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) examination. Computer Network Technicians install, configure and troubleshoot local area and wide area networks. The Diploma program in Computer Network Technician can lead directly to the Associate’s Degree program as a Computer Network Engineer. This can, in turn, lead to the FCC Bachelor’s Degree programs in Management Information Systems, Accounting, or Business Administration.
This nine-month program includes the servicing of computer and peripheral equipment. Students practice techniques necessary for the assembling of computers, analyzing and repairing malfunctions, and they gain "hands-on" experience with modern equipment. The Computer Repair Technician is a Diploma Program that takes 9 months and is 37 credits.

Physical Therapist Assistant - Associate of Science Degree
Physical Therapy is a profession that promotes optimal health and physical function. A physical
therapist assistant (PTA) performs patient care directly under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
The PTA uses physical treatment procedures to help improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury. Treatments may include therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, soft tissue mobilization, ROM, and modalities in accordance with the plan of care. The PTA communicates regularly with the supervising physical therapist, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and other medical staff.
The purpose of this PTA Program is to train and graduate knowledgeable, competent, selfassured, adaptable, and service-oriented patient care providers. The PTA Program is designed to prepare graduates to perform selected components of treatment interventions and data collection under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist (PT) in an ethical, legal, safe, and effective manner. Additionally, graduates of the PTA Program must be prepared to
communicate with other members of the health care delivery team, interact with members of the patient's family and caregivers, and work cooperatively with other health care providers. PTA graduates work with their supervising PT to coordinate care with other health care providers as well as provide psychosocial support for patients, their families and caregivers with respect to individual, cultural, and economic differences.
Students in the PTA program participate in simulated clinical scenarios in the classroom as well
