Cosmetology

This program provides training in the various cosmetology services. Techniques will be learned in hair styling, hair tapering, shaping, pin curling and finger waving.

Classes will also be given in shampooing, scalp treatment, facial treatments, and in hair removal.

Our theory classes include the biological study of the hair and its function. Instruction will also be given in chemistry, sterilization, bacteriology, and hygiene.

Students will also be taught to adhere to the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in maintaining equipment and the environment of the salon as well as state laws, and shop management.

At the completion of this program, graduates will qualify to apply for the state license examination and employment in the beauty industry. A diploma will be awarded upon graduation from the program.

Skin Care/Esthetics

This program provides training in aesthetics and skin care. It teaches students the biological foundations of the skin and how to maintain the health of the skin by correct cleansing methods, massage and the use of machines for deep cleansing.

Our program goes well beyond basic skin care training. Theory classes include a study of the structure of the skin, its functions, recognize lesions and diseases of the skin. Techniques will be learned for treatment of problem skin conditions such as oiliness, dryness, comodomes, acne, discoloration and scarring.

The student will also become skilled at several cosmetic treatments such as make-up application, color analysis, ear piercing, lash & brow tinting, etc. The program also includes training in body waxing and proper eyebrow shaping. Students will also be taught to adhere to the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in maintaining equipment and the environment of the salon.

At the completion of this program, graduates will qualify to apply for state registration and employment in the beauty field as an esthetician.

Nail Technology Program

This program is designed to teach students the art and science of beautifying the nails, hands, and feet; to give a proper massage; and to use safety precautions and sanitation methods in manicuring, pedicuring, and extending the nails.

The students will become skilled at using professional manicuring implements, chemicals, supplies, nail drills, and the use of light cured gels. Techniques will be learned in identifying nail diseases, the basic type of artificial nails, and nail extensions. Students will also be taught the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in maintaining equipment and the environment of the salon.

At the completion of this program, graduates will qualify to apply for state registration and employment in the beauty industry. A diploma will be awarded upon graduation from the program.

Electrology

This program is designed for comprehensive training in permanent hair removal.

Excessive hair has become an increasing problem to both men and women today, therefore, the field for trained Electrologists is rapidly expanding.

Our program goes well beyond basic training. The modern short-wave, blend, and multiple galvanic methods of Electrolysis are taught on a personalized basis.

Demonstrations of machines and the latest most modern equipment will be given. Students will also be taught to adhere to the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in maintaining equipment and the environment of the electrolysis office.

At the completion of this program, graduates will qualify to apply for state license examination and for national certification testing. Our school offers this program for those students either coming from or moving to a State where 600 hours are required. Graduates will also receive a diploma upon successful completion of this program.

Laser Hair Removal

This program is designed to educate students in the theory and practical application of laser and light-assisted hair growth delay.

Educator will train students in hair anatomy and growth, past and current applications available for affecting hair growth, the history of laser and light-assisted hair removal systems, federal and state government regulations, and the areas of employment in the field.

A Certificate will be awarded upon graduation from the program.

Massage Therapy

The program will prepare the graduate for licensure testing and subsequent employment as a licensed massage therapist.

Massage therapy is a rapidly growing career that offers a variety of opportunities and specialties.

Massage Therapists use therapeutic techniques to massage soft tissues that have been affected by injury, illness or stress. Students will learn to work with the muscles and their related tissues to relieve pain and discomfort.

A variety of techniques will be studied including Swedish massage, hydrotherapy, sports massage, reflexology, chair massage, deep tissue massage, and more.

Graduates will have the knowledge and experience needed to sit for the state licensing exam which will enable them to work in a variety of settings including spas, chiropractic offices, athletic clubs, or they may begin their own practice.

Full Specialist (Skin Care and Nail Technology combined)

This program is designed to train individuals to give facials, facial massage treatments using cosmetics and to describe chemicals, implement techniques, and the use of hair removal products.

In addition to skin care, this program will train students in the art and science of beautifying the nails enabling them to work in the beauty field as a trained Full Specialist.

This is a resident training program consisting of 600 hours of theory (academic study) and practical lectures, and 150 hours of hands-on instruction and practice of applied skin care treatments and nail Technology. A diploma will be awarded upon graduation from the program.
