How does one become an Accountant?

An associate’s degree will help you obtain an entry-level position and take you two years to earn. A bachelor’s degree, which is most common, will take at least four years and help pave the way for an MBA or another advanced degree.

Accountants usually have their bachelor’s degree and they are limited as to what they can do for a business or agency. They may prepare financial statements and prepare tax returns (only if they have passed the IRS test or received a Preparer TIN) They may not, however, conduct audits or review financial statements.

CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) are licensed by their state’s board of accountancy, which facilitates a national exam and outlines state requirements. The CPA exam is made up of four parts: Audit and Attestation; Financial Accounting and Reporting; Regulation; and Business Environment and Concepts. The exam is known to be difficult so you must be hard-working and willing to put in the time to study your butt off!

What do I need to do to become an Administrative Assistant?
